Provide Financial Support for the Bat Nha monks and nuns
There are many ways in which our sisters and brothers in Vietnam need support both immediately and over the longer term. Establishing a means of financial support for them is now very important.
On December 31, 2009 the brothers and sisters from Bat Nha were officially evicted from Phuoc Hue temple, their last place of refuge in Vietnam. All donations will be used to directly support them, providing transportation (possibly international travel), housing, food, clothing, medicine and other essential needs. Beyond that, funds may be used to help create a new home for the monks and nuns, whether at Bat Nha or elsewhere.
The Unified Buddhist Church, Inc (“UBC”) is a non-profit organization that is recognized as tax-exempt pursuant to section 501(c)(3) of the United States tax laws. This donation is tax-deductible to the extent permitted by law. In general, only persons with United States source income are eligible to take a tax deduction for this donation.
