Concerning Bat Nha Monastery (Lam Dong)
opening practice courses according to
the practice of Plum Village (France)

The Committee of Religious Affairs of SRVN received the document from the Bhikshu Thich Duc Nghi – Abbot of Bat Nha Monastery, town Bao Loc, Lam Dong (date 27/May/2006) concerning the permission to open retreat at Bat Nha Monastery according to the practice of Plum Village (France) of zen master Thich Nhat Hanh.
 
The Committee of Religious Affairs of SRVN has suggestions like so:
 
Concerning religious activities, the Buddhist Church of Viet Nam (BCVN) of Vietnam has agreed to the idea of organizing retreats practicing and studying according to the practice above (Plum Village) at Bat Nha Monastery (document number 212/CV/HĐTS date 25/May/2006). Basing on the 36th principle in Vietnamese Religious Law, religion date 1st/March/2005, the Committee of Religious Affairs of SRVN authorize for Bhikshu Thich Duc Nghi to open retreats practicing and studying according to the practice of Plum Village (France) in Bat Nha Monastery, town Bao Loc, Lam Dong.
 
Before opening a retreat, suggest Bhikshu Thich Duc Nghi have a document to report about staff, content of schedule, period in which the retreat will be organized sent to the Committee of Religious Affairs of SRVN and to the local office of the Committee of Religious Affairs of SRVN. When there are certain matter arises, need to report concretely to the VBA and all other branches of affairs in the local area to receive support, help resolve.
